Senior Pastor Keith &
Leading Lady Stephanie Hairston
Pastor Keith Hairston was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Maryland and Bluefield, WV. In the early 1990s, God began working in a “street tough” young man’s life in a powerful way beginning with a move to Roanoke. He joined the Garden of Prayer #6 under the tutelage of the late Bishop Malverse Simpson. His life began to radically change. He married his school-girl crush, Leading Lady Stephanie Hairston, and they have been inseparable for the last 28 years. They have four beautiful daughters: twins, Samone and Seleste, Briann, and Kaitlin.
He became a licensed minister in 1996 and an ordained Elder in 2001. After years of faithful service as a Joshua to Bishop Simpson, Elder Keith branched out to become one of Bishop Simpson’s Covenant pastors. God led him to establish The Promise Church in 2015 where he served as senior pastor for six years.
In 2016, Pastor Keith Hairston joined the Communion of Covenant Ministries International (CCMI) under Bishop Fred Brown. Bishop Brown has been an avid supporter of The Promise Church and divine covenant partner. Bishop Simpson instructed Pastor Hairston to remain connected to him. Bishop Brown’s love and care extend beyond the six years of Pastor Keith’s ministries
Our Pastor
Pastor Keith Hairston is a trained and experienced leader in ministry and business. He holds a Bachelor of Theology in Biblical Studies from Word of Life Theological Seminary and a Certificate in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. Pastor Keith Hairston is also a corporate executive. He works as an Area Supervisor for Inspire Brands where he has worked for the past seven years. His area of expertise is in building teams for success and maximizing profits for the restaurants he supervises.

His life’s work has been to mentor and helps men turn their lives around. Pastor Keith always says, “If I can change with the help of the Lord, anyone can!” His mentor and Spiritual Father, the late Bishop Malverse Simpson taught him how to be a great Man of God! Bishop Simpson was the godly example that Pastor Keith Hairston needed to become the man he is today, walking in his kingdom assignment. Pastor Keith Hairston shares these examples with others just as Bishop Simpson would have wanted.
Pastor Hairston returned to Spirit of Liberty in early 2021 to assist the ministry with his Spiritual Father, Bishop Simpson. The mantle of the late Bishop Malverse Simpson rests upon Pastor Keith Hairston and his desire is for the Legacy of his father to continue.
